I am a visual thinker so it should come as no surprise that I love Pinterest. I keep a collection of drawings from my Passenger Project here and one day I got a very exciting email! It was from John Shipman, Executive Director of the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts in Wilmington, DE. He was in the process of curating a show called Grand Vocabulary: Contemporary American Illustration and was interested in including my work to represent reportage. Reportage a form of illustration where the artist makes the drawing on location.

After showing John a sampling of my work he chose not to feature my Passenger Project work but instead, work I had done on location at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta before the eradication of smallpox. He also chose two drawings I had done on location at Walt Disney World in Florida.

This exhibition will run from August 5th through October 16, 2016. The opening takes place on August 5th from 5 to 9.
